For frequent travelers who need to carry two valid passports at once — for example, to visit countries with sensitive travel relationships without complicating future trips. We prepare, pre-check, and manage your application through the New York Passport Agency.
A second valid passport is available to frequent travelers on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by the U.S. Department of State. Your current passport must be a valid, undamaged, full 10-year passport, and you'll need to explain in writing why a second passport is necessary.
Have these ready before you start — incomplete paperwork is the most common cause of delay.
Must be undamaged, valid, and a full 10-year validity passport. If it doesn't meet these conditions, a standard new-passport application applies instead.
Your authorization for VisaRite to act as your agent with the Passport Agency. Must carry your original (wet) signature, matching your current passport — faxes and photocopies aren't accepted.
See our passport photo requirements, or find a location near you to have them taken.
A signed letter explaining, in reasonable detail, why a second passport is needed — for example, upcoming travel to a country whose entry stamp could complicate travel to another destination. Ask us for a sample letter to use as a reference.

| Service level | Review | Agency processing | Shipping | Service fee |

| Super Rush | 1 day | 4–6 days | 1–2 days | $499 |

Service fees may be paid online by credit card (a 3.6% surcharge applies) and are separate from the government fee above. Processing time reflects the Passport Agency's time to process your application once received — it does not include return shipping, and the day we receive your package does not count as a processing day.
Because this application is handled entirely by mail, a careful pre-check is what keeps it moving on schedule.
